OUR CLIENTS
Our individual clients typically fall into one of four catagories:
- Members of Middle America who are nearing or in retirement and are looking for absolute return strategies that reduce account volatility. Volatility can wreak havoc on accounts that are distributing income for retirees so it is essential to account for this variable in planning. The majority of Wall Street firms have designed their strategies without accounting for volatility as they are targeting wealthly clients who can sustain losses. Clients invested in our Core and Income Portfolio can ill afford to suffer losses so we gear our strategy with that end in mind.
Portfolios: Core and Income - Wealthly individuals looking to diversify holdings away from traditonal investment strategies. These clients can tolerate excessive volatility as long as it leads to longer-term returns in excess of the market.
Portfolio: Dynamic Long/Short - Middle to upper class individuals in late retirement who are primarly concerned with their account generating income for living. These individuals are less concerned with wealth appreciation and are far more concerned with wealth protection. They are typically looking for an above average income from their assets in the range of 7% - 9%. We also seek to protect purchasing power by hedging for inflation.
Portfolio: Income - Younger investors who are seeking wealth creation opportunities in the capital markets. These clients are weary of solutions provided by Wall Street firms that make alot of money for the firm but leave little for the individual investor. Its no mistake that these firms refer to themselves as "Wealth Management" and not "Wealth Creation" firms. Clients need to be able to weather volatile account movements in order to increase the probability of long-term gains.
Portfolios: Dynamic Long/Short and Focus

The majority of our clients do have Middle Class roots, many of whom were blue-collar workers who sacrificed during their working years to save and provide for their families. We have several clients whose children were the first generation in the family to attend college. Some spent 30 years or more in the workforce in order to have a sustainable retirement. We take joy in helping these individuals realize their goal of maintaining their standard of living in retirement.
When the MAC was founded, it catered almost exclusively to individuals in Middle America but due to the success of our margin strategies, specifically our Dynamic Long/Short strategy, we have attracted assets from wealthier individuals who are not satisfied with the lackluster returns provided by their Wall Street brokerage firms.
